I'm so happy you're here!
My name is Dr. Bonnie Soto. I'm a pediatric physical therapist and the owner of Be Well Bebé
That's not just a catchy headline- I am TRULY so happy you are here! Every time I get a website visitor, an email, a free consult booking or a call I do a little happy dance. I know that choosing a provider to support you and your baby on this journey is no easy decision. You want the best for your sweet little one and so do I. Let me tell you a little about myself, what brought me into this very niche area of physical therapy, and why I consider it to be the greatest honor to have this career.

my story starts here . . .
I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy over 12 years ago and have been practicing in pediatrics since that time. I've had the honor of working in large children's hospitals on the PICU/Peds and NICU floors, outpatient therapy programs, NICU follow up programs, private clinics, and Early Intervention. However, my passion to specialize in infant development, support infants experiencing feeding challenges, tension, oral ties, and movement difficulties was really born when I began having my own children.

Almost 6 years ago, I had my first baby. Despite the years of experience in infant development
that I had already acquired, taking breastfeeding prep courses, and reading all the books I still found
navigating the territory of tongue ties, tension, and breastfeeding quite challenging. My daughter also
had torticollis and up until that point I did not understand how much that could affect a breastfeeding
journey. No one was teaching this- no one was talking about this!

There was so much (mis)information from so many people to sift through at that time. I had to
advocate over and over to get the support that we needed. From that experience, I realized that if it
was that challenging for me to access proper care that other families were just not getting the
appropriate support to reach their feeding goals, address reflux, body tension, and just help their
babies feel comfortable and thrive!

Since that time I have completely immersed myself in continuing education, clinical practice, reviewing
research, and participating in mentorship to be that support for babies and families experiencing
these challenges. I am so passionate about this (maybe a little obsessed?) because I know how much
this journey can impact the wellbeing of the baby, the parents, and the family unit as a whole. This
journey has lifelong health impacts!

When I'm not immersed in books & courses or helping sweet babies at work, I am home loving on my
babies (5 years, 3 years, and an brand new little one), my husband, and my two dogs. I enjoy hiking, yoga, meditation, hot coffee on a quiet morning, and I'm always perusing a minimum of 3 books at once. I am attempting to grow something, anything in our newly established garden. And I'm always working on not freezing up when speaking spanish so I can keep up with my bilingual husband and children. I am originally from the east coast (Maryland!) but ever since I was a little girl I have loved the southwest. I graduated from PT school in 2012 and moved out here only a few weeks later.

In addition to the work that I do here at Be Well Bebé, I also spend a good bit of time each week creating educational & entertainment content on IG (@milestone_mama) and TikTok (@milestonemama). Follow along to keep up with general milestone information & a few motherhood laughs along the way.
